The Phenom 300 Market Today
The Phenom 300 is and will remain strong competition for the Cessna Citation CJ4. Priced at $8,500,000 standard configuration, the Phenom is certainly a better value. In addition, it has stronger take-off performance and lower operating cost in comparison with the CJ4
The number of used Phenom 300’s “for sale” on the market has remained consistent over the past year. There are a total of 3 used aircraft “for sale” on the market which is approximately 8% of the entire fleet. In general, this level of market saturation is considered very healthy. The average asking prices for these aircraft are $8,060,000. The average price for “new” aircraft is $8,500,000 (standard configuration). Some valuable options to have on your aircraft include but are not limited to the following; TCASII, Premium Pax Door, and the seventh pax seat. Every owner/operator has a different mission profile and requires options that better suit their needs. However, my research suggests that the options listed above are of definite importance in the used sector.

The Phenom 100 Market Today
The Phenom 100 is the most successful aircraft in its class and continues to outperform its competition in both performance and value. With nearly 275 aircraft in the fleet, the Phenom 100 has put the VLJ products to the test. Due to its success, the market remains strong and individuals around the world are constantly inspired to own this one of a kind bird. With 16 conveniently located maintenance facilities just in the US, it is very easy to have your Phenom serviced.
The number of Phenoms “for sale” on the market has made a slight decline from the beginning of this year, however, the market remains fairly consistent. There are 29 total aircraft “for sale” on the market which is approximately 14% of the fleet. In general, this level of market saturation would not be considered healthy; however, that number includes the new aircraft in production with the manufacturer. The average asking prices for these aircraft are $3,065,200 and there is an average of 3.5 aircraft sold each month.
I believe that the Phenom 100 will continue to stand its ground against competition and the market will remain consistent.

The Legacy 600 Market Today
The Legacy 600 is based off of the Embraer ERJ-145 family. It was introduces to the business jet world in 2000 and has since been a fairly successful against its competition, the Challenger 850, It has more range, higher payload and a more attractive price. With that said, over the past few years the Legacy 600 has dropped in value significantly and more aircraft continue to come to the market leaving us with a 17% market saturation of the entire fleet (180 aircraft). In general, this level of market saturation is not to be considered healthy
The number of Legacy 600s “for sale” on the market have increased from the beginning of this year, including a huge influx August. The lack of demand for these aircraft has resulted in a declining market and with only two aircraft sold in the last 6 months; things do not appear to be getting any better. I believe that with the on-set of the Legacy 450, 500, and 650, the 600 will continue to struggle in the market. In addition, until the number of aircraft “for sale” drops, prices will remain stagnant or continue to decline.
Although it is difficult to predict what the market will do, I can conclude from recent data and trends that the Legacy 600s will remain, at the very least, stagnant through the final quarter of this year.
